Mobile Appointments

I bring everything I need. Patients sometimes opt for an extra pillow, towel, or blanket for their personal comfort. For acupuncture appointments, I bring a customizable face cradle that can attach to a bed if I need to access your back. Otherwise, a sofa, recliner, or lounger all work fine. A significant benefit is that you can continue to relax after your session because you will be comfortable on your own furniture.

For appointments including massage, I bring a portable massage table and linens. While I bring my own oil, some people have a personal favorite that I’m happy to use instead. If your location is difficult to access or up multiple flights of stairs and you have no massage table available, I’m happy to schedule acupuncture or acupuncture with cupping, gua sha or moxabustion, as needed.

Whether or not there is music in the background is your choice. Some patients enjoy music; others don’t.

I go to homes, condominiums, hotels, and vacation rentals between Nuevo Nayarit to the north and Conchas Chinas to the south covering all of Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Nayarit. Yes. If multiple people book at the same location, there is only one travel fee, so that option is more economical for everyone. In many cases, I can stagger acupuncture appointments on the half-hour since patients receive time to rest during the treatment session. New Patients | First Appointment

We start with a thorough intake including questions about your current health, history, sleep, diet, lifestyle, etc. After standard Traditional Chinese medicine diagnostics, we’ll begin treatment. Your treatment plan can include, acupuncture, electro-stimulation, cupping, massage, moxabustion, and/or gua sha. Once the needles are in place, you’ll rest comfortably for approximately 30 minutes. After the needles are removed, you have the rest of your day just like normal, albeit more relaxed and comfortable.

Acupuncture rarely hurts. It doesn’t feel anything like getting a shot. Most insertions are painless. A few places on the body can be a little more sensitive, but in general, acupuncture doesn’t hurt. It’s common to feel tingling, warmth, a spreading sensation, heaviness, or fullness at the acupuncture point, but not pain.

I recommend eating a light meal within a few hours of your appointment. Comfortable clothing is best. I most commonly use acupuncture points between the elbows and hands and between the knees and feet. Depending on your particular health conditions, I may use points in your torso, back, hips, or scalp. Proper draping is used at all times. Please avoid alcohol and recreational drugs.

The initial appointment is between 75 and 90 minutes to account for a full intake. Follow-up appointments are generally 50-60 minutes. They can last up to 80-90 minutes if cupping and/or massage is done after the needles are removed.

You can click any of the “Book” buttons on the website to go directly to my booking platform. On the booking platform, choose between Puerto Vallarta North (where I come to you anywhere between Cinco de Diciembre and Nuevo Nayarit area), Puerto Vallarta South (where I come to you anywhere between Cinco de Diciembre and Conchas Chinas) or Cabo Corrientes (where I come to you in Yelapa or Boca de Tomatlan). Then choose your desired day and time. Optionally, feel free to contact me via a WhatsApp message at +52 322-380-7545. Because I live in Quimixto and spend a fair bit of time commuting by boat, messages are more reliable than phone calls.

24 hours or more: Cancel or reschedule at no charge.
8–24 hours: You may reschedule your appointment once at no charge.
Less than 8 hours or No Show: The $600 deposit is forfeited.

While tipping is common in the massage industry, it is not customary for healthcare professionals such as acupuncturists. Because my practice combines both acupuncture and therapeutic massage, there is no expectation to leave a gratuity. If you choose to do so in appreciation of exceptional care, your kindness is sincerely appreciated, and a tip is never expected.
